LaLigaLand opened its doors to all Decentraland users after its presentation event.

Last November 3rd, LaLigaLand was born, with a presentation event at Gymage’s auditorium, in the heart of Madrid’s Gran Vía. The event was attended by multiple sports entities and various media, as well as investors and specialists in the crypto world.

During the presentation, the Metaverse Director of StadioPlus, Alfonso Verdugo, made an introduction showing images and videos about the most ambitious immersive project in the history of Decentraland. A project that aims to generate recurring content for users and seeks to connect all soccer fans and the web3 world by offering them unique experiences.

The presenter of the event then launched a series of questions to the CEOs of StadioPlus, Vegas City and Decentraland to expand on the LaLiga Land project.

Jon Fatelevich, CEO of StadioPlus, assured that “LaLigaLand is one of the most important projects launched in the Metaverse to date and would not have been possible without the licensing agreement with LaLiga and the help of our partners Vegas City, with whom we have been working for more than 1 year in the definition and development of the project. Our expectations are high and we look forward to delivering a great experience to fans in the world of sports and technology.” “This is just the beginning; LaLigaLand has a project with a very ambitious roadmap,” concluded Fatelevich.

For his part, James Ashton, CEO of Vegas City, began that “the launch of LaLigaLand signifies a great moment for Decentraland and the narrative of sports experiences in this metaverse. We are thrilled to finally be able to raise the curtain and witness LaLigaLand and invite soccer fans from Spain and around the world to come and explore what Vegas City and StadioPlus have created with LaLiga.”

At the presentation event there was also time for a round of questions in which all those present were able to answer their doubts regarding what LaLigaLand aims to become and what objectives it has in the short, medium and long term. At the end of the event, the LaLigaLand trailer was shown to recapitulate the key points of the project. Finally, the event guests were able to enjoy an elaborate catering service at the Gymage, the event’s venue.
